Collections

Since 2003, the Orange County Mexican American Historical Society has been collecting digital copies of historical photographs. The images depict all aspects of life in Orange County during the twentieth century. OCMAHS also has some artifacts that are part of the permanent collection.

We are actively seeking historical photographs that may add depth and breadth to the OCMAHS collection. Please contact us if you are interested in donating material.

Photo Displays & Presentations

A major OCMAHS goal is to be actively involved in some of the exciting events taking place in the Mexican American communities of Orange County, CA. Every month our members attend local gatherings where they provide a historical photo display illustrating the lives of early Mexican families in the area. This is also an opportunity for the public to provide OCMAHS with information on the early barrios of OC and to share many interesting stories.

Additionally, members can provide a PowerPoint presentation to a class or group on the history of Mexican Americans in Orange County, CA.

If you are interested in having OCMAHS participate in your community event, please let us know. We can provide a display of historical photos, help scan "old" photos for preservation and inform you on how you can be a part of our efforts to preserve Orange County's Mexican American history.
